CEC Updates Results for Mitrovica: 95% of Votes Verified, 2,000-Vote Gap Between Candidates

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has released updated results after verifying 96.19% of polling stations in South Mitrovica, showing a tight race between the two leading candidates.

According to the latest data, Faton Peci of the Vetëvendosje Movement is in the lead with 53.07%, or 16,955 votes. His main rival, Arian Tahiri of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), follows with 46.93%, or 14,992 votes.

The difference between the two candidates stands at around 2,000 votes, based on the nearly complete count.

The CEC confirmed that only four polling stations remain unprocessed, meaning final results are expected shortly.
