The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced that, as of 3:00 PM, over 21% of registered voters have participated in the mayoral runoff elections across 18 municipalities in Kosovo.
CEC Chairperson Kreshnik Radoniqi noted that this turnout is lower compared to the same period during the first round of local elections held on October 12.
Radoniqi also addressed the topic of assisted voting, emphasizing that it is legally guaranteed only for persons with disabilities who are unable to complete and cast their ballots independently. He stressed that this right cannot be abused and that proof of disability must be provided in accordance with CEC regulations.
Regarding voters who are illiterate, Radoniqi clarified that they can receive guidance on how to vote, but assistance cannot be provided inside the voting booth.
