The Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) has officially announced Hajrullah Çeku as its candidate for Mayor of Prishtina in the upcoming local elections scheduled for October 12.
“The Prishtina branch of Vetëvendosje unanimously chose Hajrullah Çeku to be the party’s candidate for mayor,” said Arben Vitia, head of the LVV branch in Prishtina.
In addition to Çeku, other expected contenders for the Prishtina mayoral race include:
Përparim Rama from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK)
Uran Ismaili from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK)
Bekë Berisha from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK)
The competition is shaping up to be a high-profile political contest in the capital.
