In the afternoon hours today, a tragic shooting occurred at a restaurant in Cetinje, where several individuals were killed by A. Martinović (45), who used a firearm to take their lives, as reported by multiple media outlets of Montenegro. The armed suspect then fled the scene.
The police have urged residents of Cetinje to remain calm and stay indoors, as all available police units are on the ground and taking necessary actions to regain control of the situation and apprehend the perpetrator.
The police clarified that this incident is not connected to organized crime groups. Special police units have been dispatched to manage the crisis.
According to Vijesti, the incident began with a fight inside a restaurant, which escalated when the suspect drew a weapon and opened fire. Several people were killed, including two children, and two others were injured. The shooter, known to the police as A.M. from Cetinje, is currently on the run.
The police later confirmed reports that A.M. also killed two children and wounded a woman in the nearby Bogdanov Kraj neighborhood. The authorities are actively searching for him.
