Lulzim Rafuna, Chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (OEK), in an interview with Ekonomia Online, responded to the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), which confirmed that it has not suspended the decision to liberalize the electricity market.

ZRRE clarified that this is an individual case related to a single company and does not affect all businesses.

However, Rafuna said that the lawsuit was filed only by one individual business because the Chamber of Commerce did not have the legal right to file a lawsuit on behalf of all 1,300 businesses.

“This was the only legal option. Since ZRRE’s act was not a formal decision but only a notification, each business has the right to challenge it.

There are hundreds of other lawsuits from businesses against the ZRRE notification. Today’s court ruling is just the first. There will be more decisions from the Commercial Court. This is very good news for the business community,” Rafuna said.
