China has slammed former U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of “pouring fuel on the fire” amid the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, following Trump’s recent warning urging Tehran residents to “evacuate immediately.”

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that:

“Fanning the flames, pouring fuel, making threats, and increasing pressure do not help de-escalate tensions they only escalate and widen the conflict.”

Guo emphasized that China is calling on all involved parties — especially those with significant influence over Israel to act responsibly:

“The Chinese side urges all parties involved, particularly countries with special influence on Israel, to take their responsibilities seriously, adopt immediate measures to reduce tensions, and prevent the expansion and intensification of the conflict.”
