China has called on the United States to release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, stating that the situation should be resolved through negotiations, The Guardian reports.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the United States must guarantee the safety of Maduro and his wife, adding that their arrest constitutes a violation of international law.
