China has issued a firm appeal to all countries involved in the escalating tensions in the Middle East — “especially Israel” — urging them to cease hostilities following the recent flare-ups with Iran.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun called on all parties to prioritize the well-being of the region’s populations and to immediately halt military actions.
“China strongly urges all parties involved in the conflict, especially Israel, to place the interests of the people of the region first and to end the fighting,” Guo said in a public statement.
He emphasized that Beijing opposes any actions that violate sovereignty, security, or territorial integrity of other nations.
“We oppose the use of threats or force in international relations,” Guo added, reiterating China’s stance on peaceful conflict resolution.
This message underscores China’s positioning as a diplomatic actor in the region while tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate.
