China has warned the United States that it is prepared to fight “any kind” of war, as it responded to the rising trade tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.
The two largest economies in the world are edging closer to a trade war after Trump imposed additional tariffs on all Chinese goods.
China quickly retaliated by imposing tariffs of 10-15% on American agricultural products.
“If war is what the US wants, whether it’s a tariff war, a trade war, or any other kind of war, we are ready to fight until the end,” said the Chinese Embassy in X, reposting a line from a government statement on Tuesday.
