China has reiterated its call for Israel and Iran to take urgent measures to de-escalate tensions as attacks from both sides continue.
“We call on all parties to immediately take measures to calm the situation, prevent further escalation of the crisis in the region, and create conditions to return to the right path of resolution through dialogue and negotiations,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Monday.
His comments come a day after another spokesperson declared that “China is ready to play a constructive role in this de-escalation process.”
