The First Basic Prosecutor’s Office announced it will begin questioning over 100 citizens who reported suffering health problems during the March 15 protests in Belgrade. The investigation is related to the chaotic events that unfolded as citizens gathered to pay tribute to victims of the Novi Sad railway station roof collapse.

According to an official statement from the prosecutor’s office, more than 100 citizens have come forward with denunciations, alleging that they experienced health issues during the protest. These citizens will be invited to give statements in the coming days. However, authorities have clarified that the final number of individuals to be questioned may increase as the investigation continues to uncover more potential witnesses.

The protests on March 15 were marred by allegations that a sonic cannon had been used to disperse the crowd, causing panic among the participants. However, government officials have repeatedly denied these claims.

In the aftermath, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) was invited to Serbia by local authorities to assist with investigating the events surrounding the protests.

The authorities are investigating the causes of the health issues and whether any external factors, such as the alleged use of sonic devices, contributed to the health problems experienced by protesters.
