A dispute broke out today at the Central Election Commission (CEC) meeting between members of Vetëvendosje (LVV) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) regarding the accreditation of 521 observers from 26 organizations for the October 12 elections.
Alban Krasniqi from LVV raised concerns about the presence of organizations he claimed were questionable and possibly influenced from outside, calling for their verification.
Meanwhile, Sami Hamiti from LDK agreed that the list of organizations should be reviewed one by one to ensure their credibility.
In addition, Sami Kurteshi, also from LVV, expressed doubts about the financial sources and intentions of some newly registered organizations.
