The Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, made a statement following the capture of 16 Serbs in Prizren and Gjakova.

According to Sveçla, the group was divided into four vehicles with license plates from Kragujevac, Serbia.

Based on initial information, the acting minister stated that these groups are suspected of gathering intelligence for potential targets, as evidence of links to Serbian military intelligence structures and members of the Banjska terrorist group was found.

During the inspection of the first group’s vehicle, Sveçla said that photographs of the map of the Republic of Kosovo, pictures of terrorists killed during the Banjska attack, two knives, an axe, and a rotating light were discovered. Upon the prosecutor’s decision, the individuals were detained for 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the second group, consisting of 12 people, was detained in Prizren, and they were sheltering at the Orthodox Seminary of Bogosllavia.

“In this group, there were also two active officers from the Serbian security services,” Sveçla stated.

Sveçla further added that preliminary investigations have confirmed that a Serbian police officer, holding the rank of sergeant, has close family ties with a member of the Banjska terrorist group, Nemanja Radivojević, known as “Gandi.” The latter is closely related to Vladimir Radivojević, known as “Mami,” who is the main suspect for the murder of Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku. Another military officer, holding the rank of first-class captain, is connected to the former general of Serbian military intelligence, Jovan Milanović, who is known for being involved in leaking NATO data prior to the bombings on Serbian targets.
