“Kosovo is sending negative signals to its partners,” wrote the French Embassy in Kosovo, referring to the closure of several Serbian parallel offices in northern Mitrovica by Kosovo authorities.
Recently, a water utility operating under the Serbian system was shut down, along with a so-called Office for Youth and Sports. These actions were also noted by MP Albin Kurti on his Facebook profile.
“Repeated actions by Kosovo authorities against Serbia’s structures in Kosovo, which provide services to the Serbian community, are concerning. The issue of these structures must be addressed within the framework of the EU-facilitated dialogue. These actions send a negative signal to Kosovo’s partners. France is closely monitoring the impact of these decisions on the daily lives of Serbs in Kosovo,” stated the French Embassy.
