At the invitation of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, participated in the Annual Conference and Defense Industry Exhibition “AUSA 2024” in Washington D.C., USA.
The KSF announced that Jashari met with the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, General Randy A. George, where they discussed bilateral cooperation between the two armies, joint exercises, and other collaborative activities.
Jashari thanked General George for the ongoing support and expressed readiness for further cooperation.
Later, General Jashari met with the Commander of the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command, Brigadier General Allan J. Pepper, where they discussed assistance in armament system projects, training packages, and other relevant areas, according to the KSF.
In addition to participating in the main sessions of the conference and exhibition, the KSF stated that Jashari also met with representatives from several key defense agencies, focusing on bilateral cooperation in the defense sector.
“Additionally, he was informed about the latest technological developments through informative presentations and discussion panels on defense and security. In these activities, General Jashari emphasized the great importance and excellent opportunity presented by participation in this international event, to assess the fact that alongside the changing geopolitical context, the advancement of military technology, and the enhancement of cooperation with allied states,” the KSF noted.
“General Jashari’s visit is very important in the development process of the Kosovo Security Force, as the KSF is entering the final phase of the transition process. Furthermore, this visit highlighted the significance of our very close partnership with the USA in the field of security and defense,” stated the KSF.
