The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Bashkim Jashari, recently visited the United States for an official trip.

In Washington, DC, he met with the highest-ranking officials of the US Army and the National Guard Bureau.

“General Jashari met with Army Chief of Staff General Randy George, thanking him for his continued support of the KSF and discussing mutual priorities for the future. During his visit, General Jashari attended the ceremony for the change of command of the National Guard Bureau. The ceremony, led by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Q. Brown Jr., marked the departure of General Daniel Hokanson. The KSF expressed gratitude to General Hokanson for his leadership in the State Partnership Program between the Kosovo Security Force and the Iowa National Guard,” the statement said.

The head of the Kosovo army also participated in the change-of-command ceremony for the Director of the National Guard Bureau, where General Lieutenant Jon Jensen retired and was succeeded by General Jonathan M. Stubbs.

“During a briefing with General Stubbs, both agreed to continue cooperation in training, exercises, and other joint activities.”
