It is now officially confirmed that Kosovo and Albania cannot face each other in the playoff phase of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Following Albania’s loss to England and Ukraine’s win over Iceland, Albania no longer has any realistic chance of entering Pot 2.
As a result, both Albania and Kosovo will be placed in Pot 3, which means they cannot be drawn against one another.
Both national teams will play away in their playoff semifinal matches, scheduled for March of next year.
