Kosovo Police announced that they have prevented a case of contraband in the village of Junake, Zubin Potok.
During an inspection, police stopped three vans transporting food products, including meat and dairy goods, which were being carried under unsanitary and illegal hygiene conditions, posing potential health risks, Reporteri.net reports.
“During the vehicle inspections, it was observed that a significant quantity of goods, primarily food items such as meat and dairy products, were transported under unhygienic conditions that could be harmful to human health. Alcoholic beverages and other food and hygiene products were also found in the vehicles,” the police statement said.
One person was interviewed in connection with the case. The seized goods were confiscated and handed over to Kosovo Customs for further handling.
