Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu has confirmed that, as part of the investigation into the recent escape from the Detention Center in Mitrovica, a correctional officer has been suspended from duty and arrested by the Kosovo Police.
“With this case, the number of suspended officials now stands at six: the director of the Center, one senior supervisor, and four correctional officers.
As Minister of Justice, I reiterate that no one is above the law. Every violation will be addressed with determination, ensuring accountability and security in all correctional institutions,” Haxhiu stated.
