The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, delivered a powerful message of unity and commitment to peace at the opening of the European Political Community Summit, currently being held in Tirana, reports Rks News.
In his speech, Costa emphasized the strategic importance of Ukraine’s security for the entire European continent.
“We must stand united, and Europe must succeed in bringing long-term peace to Ukraine. Your security is also our security, dear Vladimir,” he said, addressing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Costa also touched on developments in the Middle East, warning of the consequences of a lack of joint European intervention.
“We must succeed in bringing peace to the Middle East. If we fail, it will not only undermine Europe’s security but also its moral and political authority on the global stage,” he added.
