The counting and verification of votes for parliamentary candidates and political parties has begun at the Municipal Counting Center in Prishtina. According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), all election materials were received overnight at the Municipal Counting Centers to be processed by designated teams.

The 1 Tetori Hall in Prishtina has once again been transformed into a central hub for vote counting. Ballots are being verified and counted meticulously at tables across the hall.

Fatmire Bajrami, Chair of the Prishtina Municipal Election Commission, expressed confidence that the process in the capital would conclude efficiently.

“Everything has gone according to plan, and the counting process is ongoing. Since all counting teams were appointed in advance, we anticipate that the Prishtina municipality will complete the vote count within one week, Bajrami said.

Meanwhile, CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi provided details on vote verification.

“In addition to counting parliamentary candidate votes, these centers will also verify political party results using forms completed at polling stations after ballots are counted, as outlined in the CEC regulations for Municipal Counting Centers,” Elezi stated.

Regarding postal voting and votes from abroad, Elezi noted that data are still being collected. Of 19,187 registered voters at 29 diplomatic missions, 16,165 cast their votes, representing 84.24% participation. For postal voting, approximately 58,000 voters were registered, but final results are pending as ballots are still being retrieved from mailboxes.

Preliminary CEC data show that out of 57 conditional polling stations across 38 municipalities, over 9,900 voters have been registered to vote conditionally. Additionally, 2,860 voters with disabilities were registered to participate.
