The owner of Pink Television, Željko Mitrović widely known as one of Aleksandar Vučić’s closest media allies and chief propagandists has been found guilty in a criminal case initiated by Savo Manojlović, leader of the Move-Change (Kreni-Promeni) movement.

According to the movement’s statement, this first-instance verdict marks a rare moment of accountability within Serbia’s deeply politicized media landscape, where Pink TV has long operated as the regime’s personal megaphone, shielding corruption and attacking anyone who dares to criticize power.

“This is our vision of a just Serbia, one without privileged individuals. Neither money nor proximity to politicians will protect anyone,” Manojlović said after learning of the verdict during a student march toward Novi Sad.

Mitrović—who built his empire on state-backed favoritism and unconditional loyalty to Vučić’s regime—had previously threatened to sue Manojlović during a televised debate, boasting that the activist would “answer in court.”

“He sued me and lost that case against me, and in the end, he was convicted in mine,” Manojlović said, turning the tables on the powerful media mogul.

The statement adds that Mitrović repeatedly dodged hearings, submitting medical excuses to delay proceedings tactics often used by figures close to the regime. His attempts failed, however, and the court ultimately issued an arrest warrant at the request of Manojlović’s legal team.

Despite months of obstruction, justice prevailed, and the case ended with a guilty verdict against Mitrović.

“Criminals should fear the court and the law—and that time is coming,” Manojlović declared, sending a clear message to the network of power and propaganda that sustains Vučić’s rule through intimidation and lies.

This verdict stands as a symbolic blow to Vučić’s media apparatus, exposing Pink TV as not just a broadcaster—but an instrument of political protection, manipulation, and corruption.
