Today, the Basic Court in Prishtina will hold a judicial review session for three individuals in custody, accused in the 2023 terrorist attack in Banjska, Zveçan, in which Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed — now officially declared a national hero by Kosovo’s institutions.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 09:30, where the accused Vladimir Toliq, Blagoje Spasojević, and Dušan Maksimović are expected to appear before the court panel. All three are in pre-trial detention and are charged with involvement in the attack.

However, this session will not include the other 42 individuals charged in the case, including the main perpetrator, Milan Radoičić.

In the initial review, the case prosecutor, Naim Abazi, requested that those not in custody be tried in absentia.

Meanwhile, Kosovo’s authorities have requested the extradition of Milan Radoičić and the other accused suspects, who are believed to have organized and executed the terrorist attack — though no extradition has taken place so far.

According to the indictment filed by the Special Prosecution, the goal of Milan Radoičić, along with the 44 co-defendants, was to seize a portion of Kosovo’s territory and unite it with Serbia.
