A court session against Zoran Kostić, accused of war crimes, will be held tomorrow at the Basic Court in Prishtina.

According to the indictment filed on May 16, 2024, Kostić, during the Kosovo War, as a member of the Serbian police forces, together with other members of the police, army, and Serbian paramilitary units, wore a police uniform and was armed while deliberately participating in attacks against the Albanian civilian population. Specifically, he is accused of targeting the Ujkani family during a well-organized operation, as Serbian forces had established a headquarters in the home of Sh.Z, which was used by the police and army during a critical offensive against civilians.

The indictment further states that on May 22, 1999, Kostić, together with other unidentified individuals, ordered the expulsion of Albanian civilians from their homes, forcing them toward the city cemeteries and separating men from women and children. Among those affected were members of the Dallku family (M.D, A.D, F.D, E.D, SH.D, V.D, V.D, V.D), L.LL, and three individuals with the surname Haliti.

This hearing marks a continuation of the judicial process against individuals accused of participating in war crimes during the 1998–1999 conflict in Kosovo.
