The Basic Court in Prizren has ordered 30 days of pre-trial detention for Beqë Shala, a prosecutor at the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, who was arrested on suspicion of accepting bribes and abusing his official position.

According to sources cited by Sinjali, Shala was arrested early on 27 October following a coordinated operation carried out by the Kosovo Police under the direction of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo.

Authorities have not yet released detailed information about the amount or nature of the alleged bribe, but the case is being handled as part of a broader effort to combat corruption within the justice system.
