A U.S. federal judge has extended a temporary order blocking the Trump administration from revoking Harvard University’s right to admit international students, Rks News reports.
The ruling comes after the federal administration threatened to rescind Harvard’s authorization, giving the university a 30-day deadline to file formal objections.
According to the court’s order, Harvard is permitted to continue its admissions process for foreign students until a final ruling is made.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has requested that the university submit clear documentation and evidence to support its position in light of the administration’s new regulatory policies.
