The Kosovo Police have announced enhanced security measures across the country, including in the north, following two recent incidents in Zveçan.
According to the Police, this step has been taken to prevent any type of incident and ensure public order and peace throughout Kosovo.
“To strengthen public security and prevent various types of incidents, the Kosovo Police have intensified security measures across the country, including in the northern region where serious criminal attacks/incidents have occurred in recent days.
With planned measures, police activities will increase to provide greater security for all citizens without distinction.
Operational police plans will focus on increasing police presence in the field, conducting more patrols in critical areas, establishing additional checkpoints, and enhancing cooperation with citizens,” the statement said.
The Police also emphasized the importance of citizen cooperation in providing information that could help improve security nationwide.
They urged citizens to collaborate and share any information that may contribute to the enhancement of security in the country.
“Through operational and intelligence actions, the Police aim to maintain public order and peace, prevent criminal acts, and investigate and bring to justice those who dare to challenge security, the law, and constitutional order.
The goal of police operations will be the safety of citizens, their property, as well as public and institutional property.
Considering that citizen cooperation plays a vital role in achieving police objectives for increased security in the country, the Police express their gratitude for the collaboration thus far and invite citizens to continue sharing information with us to enhance security for everyone, without distinction,” the statement concluded.
