Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced the arrival of 12 French Rafale fighter jets in Croatia, marking a milestone in the country’s military modernization.

Plenković described the delivery as the completion of a key strategic project to equip Croatia with a multifunctional combat aircraft squadron, highlighting that it represents the largest defense investment since Croatia’s independence.

“With this step, we are significantly strengthening our national defense capabilities and deterrence power, fully in line with NATO’s highest standards,” Plenković stated.

The acquisition is seen as a crucial move to enhance Croatia’s air power and defense readiness amid growing regional and global security concerns.
