Croatian investigative journalist Domagoj Margetiq secured an interview with Aleksandar Liçanin, a witness to killings during what is now referred to as the “Sarajevo Safari.”

Liçanin said he witnessed atrocities committed by Serbs during the Bosnian War, including actions by Slavoje Aleksić, Vojislav Šešelj, and Aleksandar Vučić.

“I know they brought people from other countries to act the same way – killing innocent children, civilians, women, and the elderly in Sarajevo,” Liçanin said. He added that “I cannot tolerate this, as it implies that we are all the same.”

When asked by the Croatian journalist whether Vučić personally took part by sniping from the Jewish cemetery, Liçanin responded:

“That’s correct. There are also photographs showing them carrying sniper rifles on their backs, and the claim that it was an umbrella is a fabrication.”

He also claimed he witnessed Vučić and Šešelj organizing “sniper tourists” who came to the Jewish cemetery.

“People came from different countries to do this for money, because no one is crazy enough to do it for free,” Liçanin emphasized.

Regarding Vučić’s denial of involvement, the witness explained why people fear telling the truth:

“People are afraid for themselves and their families, but I am committed to telling the truth and want everyone to know it. The goal is to put an end to that cursed Sarajevo Safari and reveal who did what, and who fired at civilians in Grbavica. Bars were emptied so Aleksić, Šešelj, and Vučić could operate freely,” Liçanin concluded.
