Croatia is gearing up for its presidential elections later this year, and the candidates are beginning to unveil their slogans in preparation for the race.
President Zoran Milanović has garnered attention with his distinctive election slogan: “President for President.”
Milanović, who is seeking re-election, explained his stance by stating, “A Croatia that thinks about itself and defends its personal interests must also be a country that respects all its citizens and where all state institutions serve the Croatian people, not individuals. Therefore, protecting Croatian sovereignty, safeguarding Croatian institutions, and, most importantly, taking care of Croatian people have been and will remain my priorities.”
In a recent announcement, the Croatian government confirmed that the presidential election will be held on Sunday, December 29, marking the eighth presidential election since Croatia’s independence.
The official decision comes into effect on November 28, the date when the period for collecting signatures to support candidacies will begin.
