Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has clarified that the repeated rhetoric of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, claiming that a military alliance between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo is aimed at Serbia, is inaccurate and fabricated for domestic political purposes.

At a press conference on Saturday, Plenković stressed that neither Croatia, Albania nor Kosovo intend to threaten anyone’s territorial integrity.

“The type of technical cooperation that exists between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo is not directed against Serbia. It is a completely fabricated thesis used to support the narrative of an external threat at the domestic political level. Croatia is a member of the EU and NATO. It does not cross our minds, nor that of Albania or Kosovo, to threaten anyone’s territorial integrity,” Plenković said, as reported by Jutarnji.

He also commented on other accusations by Vučić, who claimed that Croatia is behind the student protests and is seeking to destabilize Serbia. The Croatian prime minister mentioned Serbia’s oil supply through the JANAF pipeline, emphasizing that this action clearly shows Croatia acts normally and responsibly, without hidden motives against Serbia.

“Croatia has fulfilled all its national obligations and the time of war has passed. We do not act to threaten anyone, but to guarantee security and regional stability,” he concluded.
