Prishtina, July 24, 2025 —
Croatian soldiers from NATO’s KFOR Regional Command West have conducted planned patrols in Vërmicë, located in the southern part of their Area of Responsibility, according to a statement from the peacekeeping mission.

“These patrols are conducted to support and guarantee security for all communities. Their presence on the ground is essential for maintaining a safe and stable environment. Regular interaction with the local population helps build trust in KFOR and reinforces its impartial role across the region,” KFOR said in a statement, which was accompanied by a video posted on their official Facebook page.

As reiterated in the statement, KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate to contribute to a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people and communities in Kosovo, at all times and in an impartial manner.

The mission emphasized its ongoing close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective responsibilities for maintaining public safety.

This operation underscores NATO’s continued presence and role in ensuring peace and stability in Kosovo amid broader regional security concerns.
