Majlinda Daci, the daughter of former Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Nexhat Daci, spoke today on behalf of the family at the commemorative academy held in the plenary hall of the Assembly, in honor of the former parliamentary leader.

She expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the respect and recognition shown to her father, stating that the presence of everyone at the academy is testimony to the love and esteem he enjoyed throughout his life.

“On behalf of our family, we extend our sincere thanks and deep gratitude for the respect, honor, and kind words that have been dedicated today to our father. Your presence here is proof of the love and appreciation he received throughout his entire life.

Today, we have not gathered only to remember an academic, a professor, or an institutional leader. Today, we remember a man who lived his life with dignity, sacrifice, and unwavering service to knowledge, to his country, and to the people.

From an early age—at just four years old—life placed upon my father the heavy burden of growing up without parents. It was a difficult beginning, but for him, this absence turned into strength, this pain into character, and this hardship into an unshakable will to move forward.

From that difficult childhood, he built the foundations of an extraordinary life, proving that life is not defined by circumstances, but by the strength with which they are faced. From early on, he was determined to work and to live for Kosovo,” Daci’s daughter said, among other remarks.
