The Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) organized an “Open Day” event to mark the Day of the Force.
Citizens had the opportunity to witness demonstrations of the capabilities and military skills of the Kosovo Security Force.
The event was also attended by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who emphasized that compared to previous years, the KSF now has a larger budget and more advanced weaponry.
“Weapons and ammunition are continuously increasing, both in quantity and type. Compared to previous years, under our government, we have doubled the number of soldiers, tripled the budget, quadrupled overseas training, and significantly increased weaponry and ammunition,” Kurti stated.
He further highlighted that the KSF’s weaponry is procured from NATO countries, including the United States, Turkey, Germany, and the United Kingdom, among others. “Our force is continually strengthening, and as a result, so is our Republic,” Kurti added.
Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci also noted significant progress in improving KSF infrastructure.
“Today, we mark this day with another step forward in strengthening infrastructure—the establishment of a military industry. Kosovo will soon have its first ammunition factory and a drone laboratory,” Maqedonci announced.
