Volodymyr Zelensky will be in London on Monday for talks with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, France’s Emmanuel Macron, and Germany’s Friedrich Merz.

The leaders are expected to discuss the ongoing negotiations between U.S. and Ukrainian officials aimed at reaching a long-term security arrangement for Ukraine after the war.

Starmer has repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine must define its own future, adding that a peacekeeping force from a “coalition of the willing” would play a “crucial” role in guaranteeing the country’s security, Euronews reports.

On Friday, U.S. and Ukrainian negotiators meeting in Florida said that “real progress” toward a peace agreement depends on “Russia’s willingness to show a serious commitment to long-term peace.”

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is pressuring Kyiv to accept a U.S.-backed peace plan.

Vladimir Putin has already rejected several elements of the proposal, with Ukraine’s territorial integrity and measures to prevent future Russian attacks remaining key points of contention for Moscow.
