Background of the Case

The indictment dated July 30, 2025, charges Miloš Antović with participation in serious crimes on May 29, 2023, between 6:00 AM and late hours, at the Zveçan Municipality building area. Antović, in coordination with others, allegedly attacked and seriously threatened members of the KFOR peacekeeping mission using blunt objects, various rods, Molotov cocktails, improvised explosive devices, and firearms.

At least 30 KFOR members were injured, including three by firearm projectiles, as well as several Kosovo Police officers on official duty. These actions endangered the lives and safety of officials and caused serious bodily injuries.

Additionally, Antović is accused of participating in a group that violently opposed the constitutional order in northern Kosovo municipalities by refusing police presence and violently confronting peacekeepers.

Drug and Weapon Charges

On April 15, 2025, police raided Antović’s home in Zhitkovc, Zveçan Municipality, seizing:

  • 646 grams of cannabis (THC),
  • 8.94 grams of cocaine,
  • 12.33 grams of a mixture containing lidocaine,
  • A small digital scale used for measuring narcotics,
  • An unauthorized pneumatic weapon, ECOL MAJOR, caliber 4.5 mm.

These findings led to additional charges of illegal possession and intent to distribute narcotics and weapons.

Related Arrests and Events

Marko Danić was also arrested by Kosovo Police in Mitrovica North on November 15, 2024, on suspicion of involvement in the May 29, 2023 protests, where 93 KFOR soldiers were injured.

The protests escalated after attempts by KFOR to negotiate the movement of two police armored vehicles through the northern municipalities, which local citizens and the Serbian List opposed, demanding the removal of all Kosovo Police officers.

During the unrest, peacekeepers were attacked with stones and Molotov cocktails, resulting in dozens of injuries and significant property damage.
