Jakup Krasniqi’s defense attorney in The Hague, Venkateswari Alagendra, has responded to Klan Kosova regarding the ongoing legal process of her client.
She stated that Krasniqi’s path to justice has been long and filled with challenges, and emphasized that for more than four years, the defense has remained steadfast in its commitment to truth and justice.
“For Mr. Jakup Krasniqi, the road to justice has been long and full of challenges. It should be noted that almost four and a half years have passed since my client was arrested, including the preliminary phase of the trial and two full years since the trial began. Throughout this period, the defense has been unwavering in its dedication to truth and justice. From the start of the trial, our legal strategy has been based on facts, law, and integrity. During the prosecution’s presentation of the case, we have continuously upheld and proven the positions we presented in our opening statement. These positions remain steadfast,” said Alagendra.
Further, in her statement to Klan Kosova, Alagendra emphasized that the defense remains unshaken in its belief that justice will prevail and that the final verdict will confirm Krasniqi’s innocence.
“As we approach the formal conclusion of the prosecution’s case in the coming days, we too will continue with the necessary procedural steps as outlined by the regulations. We are committed to ensuring that these steps are completed promptly so that the final verdict can be reached as soon as possible. We remain unwavering in our belief that justice will prevail, and the final judgment will confirm Mr. Krasniqi’s innocence,” she added.
