Several Democratic lawmakers in the United States have sharply criticized the airstrikes ordered by President Donald Trump on nuclear facilities in Iran, labeling them illegal and dangerous actions carried out without congressional approval.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called Trump’s decision a “grave violation” of the Constitution and Congress’s war powers. “He has impulsively risked starting a war that could involve us for generations. This is absolutely grounds for impeachment,” she wrote on X.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib also strongly condemned the attack, calling it a “blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution” and urging Congress to act immediately. “We have seen where decades of endless wars in the Middle East have led us – all based on lies about weapons of mass destruction. We will not accept it again,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Congressman Jim McGovern described the situation as “insane,” accusing Trump of unlawfully dragging the country into another Middle East war. “Haven’t we learned from the past yet?” he questioned.
