Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has sent a clear message to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump regarding Greenland.
“Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders. Greenland is not for sale,” Frederiksen stated.
Earlier, U.S. media reported that Donald Trump Jr. would visit Greenland, just two weeks after his father reiterated his desire for the U.S. to take control of the Danish autonomous territory.
Donald Trump reignited controversy in December when he said that “ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity” for U.S. national security.
