The Deputy Mayor of Leposaviq, Marina Bogojević, was arrested on September 17 by the Kosovo Police under suspicion of assaulting a former municipal official.

According to authorities, the case involved Vida Vukadinović, a former employee who had reportedly demanded an official termination decision regarding her employment. Bogojević was later released to regular procedure following her detention.

In her statement, Bogojević firmly denied the accusations, clarifying that no assault took place. She explained that the former official had already received her contracts covering one and a half years of service and that the municipality does not issue additional termination decisions once a service contract expires.

“She had already been provided with all the contracts she worked under. The administration had given them to her for the purposes she requested. As we were about to leave, I was with the mayor, directors from his cabinet, and we were heading to the official car in front of the municipal building to go to the field,” Bogojević stated.

The case remains under review as part of ongoing legal procedures.
