A woman gave birth on the street in Bangkok after the hospital where she was staying was evacuated due to a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar. She was lying on a stretcher, surrounded by medical staff who assisted her during childbirth.
Due to the strong tremors, the King Chulalongkorn Memorial and BNH hospitals were evacuated, and patients, including those on stretchers and in wheelchairs, were moved to a park near the hospital. The staff continued to provide medical care outside the hospital buildings.
A child was born, and surgery was performed in the open air following the evacuation of hospital buildings at Police General Hospital in Bangkok.
