Srdjan Jankoviq and Dejan Dragijeviq were arrested yesterday under suspicion of the murder of the missing two-year-old Danka Iliq in Banjsko Polje, Serbia, several days ago.
It is suspected that they hit the girl with a white “Fiat Panda” car, and now a photo of that vehicle captured by security cameras has emerged.
It is believed that both were drunk at the moment they hit the little girl. Then they put her body in the car and took it to a waste landfill to hide the crime they are suspected of committing.
Excavators fully checked the landfill in Starobanjska yesterday, where the body of the murdered girl Danka is suspected to be located. They found nothing.
The excavations continued today, but without results.
Simultaneously with the landfill inspection, the police also checked the fields in the village of Luka near Bor, from where the murder suspect is.
“The gendarmerie is digging in the yard of S.J., one of the suspects in the murder of little Danka. It seems like the dog has smelled something,” reports Serbian Kurir.
The Ecological Uprising, an organization from Serbia, demands from the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bratislava Gashiq, undergo a polygraph test in which she will repeat everything she has said regarding the murder of Danka Iliq.
The reason for this, as stated in the press release, is his statement, which is filled with illogicalities that raise the citizens’ suspicion.
As reported by Blic, almost no waste remains in the landfill in Banjsko Polje, everything has been cleaned, while a police car has just arrived.
In this horrific story, two key questions remain – where and how was Danka’s body hidden and how was she killed, as the two suspects, accusing each other, give contradictory statements.
The only thing that is certain according to Serbian media is that the body has been moved from the landfill to another place.
