The Basic Court of Prishtina has extended the detention of the Viqentijeviq brothers, Dragisha and Jovan, for two more months. They were arrested as suspects in the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal.
The spokesperson for the Basic Court of Pristina, Mirlinda Gashi, stated that the decision to extend the detention was made on Friday.
“We inform you that after the request from the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo to extend the detention measure in the criminal case against the defendants J.V. and D.V., the Basic Court in Prishtina – Special Department, on 28.02.2025, made a ruling and approved the request of the SPRK, so the detention of the defendants J.V. and D.V. is extended for a period of 2 (two) months for each of them,” Gashi said.
The Ibër-Lepenc canal was attacked on November 29 in the village of Varagë, in the municipality of Zubin Potok – a municipality with a Serb majority in the northern part of the country.
