Developments in Leposaviq, Elshani: We Are Collecting Material Evidence from the Building Believed to Have Served as a Parallel Municipality
New developments are being reported in the north of the country.
According to initial information, Kosovo’s Special Police Units conducted an operation today at the Serbian People’s Bank in Leposaviq.
It is noted that the police have taken documentation from the bank’s safe. According to reports from “kosovoonline,” in the section where the offices of this Serbian institution were located, there is an armored vehicle, and around the building that housed the Serbian parallel municipality, police vehicles can be seen parked.
The safe of the Serbian People’s Bank in Leposaviq has not been operational since May, when all offices of the Serbian Post’s Savings Bank were closed. The safe is located in the building that, until now, housed the Serbian parallel municipality in Leposaviq.
Contacted by the media on this issue, the deputy director of police in the north, Veton Elshani, stated that they are collecting material evidence from the building, as it is believed to have served as a parallel municipality.
“We are collecting material evidence from the building that we believe served as a parallel municipality,” said Elshani.
He also mentioned that they have not yet accessed the treasury department.
“We have not yet entered the treasury department,” Elshani added.
It has been reported that law enforcement authorities today obtained documentation from the safe of the Serbian People’s Bank in Leposaviq.
In the area where the offices of this Serbian institution were located, there is an armored vehicle, and around the building that housed the Serbian parallel municipality, police vehicles are seen parked.

Across from the building are also pieces of furniture being removed by employees of the Serbian association “Support me.”
