A delegation from Belgrade, led by Serbia’s Chief Negotiator Petar Petković, arrived in Brussels last night, where it is expected to take part today in a new round of dialogue with the Kosovo side, under the mediation of the European Union, according to Serbian media reports.

According to these reports, “the Belgrade delegation will insist in particular on the urgent establishment of the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities,” while also emphasizing the “difficult position of the Serbian population in Kosovo due to numerous unilateral and escalatory moves by Pristina that threaten the survival, peace, and security of Serbs.” This narrative continues the propaganda line of Serbian pro-government media.

The EU envoy, Danish diplomat Peter Sørensen, visited Kosovo and Serbia last week but did not announce any new round of talks.

So far, there has also been no official announcement from Kosovo regarding talks taking place today in the European capital.
