The deadline for diaspora members to register to vote is today, as announced by Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti via a video message on Facebook. Kurti urged those who have not yet registered to take advantage of the remaining hours to ensure their participation in the upcoming elections.

“Dear diaspora, I thank all of you who have already registered to vote from abroad through our embassies, consulates, and by post. The deadline is tonight at 23:59. To those who have not registered yet, I encourage you to do so and benefit from the facilities we have provided for you to be part of our elections and collective decisions. It has never been easier. I know you are busy with work and obligations, but I assure you that the process takes no more than four minutes. Four valuable minutes for four decisive years for Kosovo’s progress and security,” said Kurti.

Registration is Essential for Voting

The Prime Minister emphasized that registration is mandatory to secure the right to vote.

“Those of you who have registered, please contact your friends and family and assist them in successfully registering. Without registration, there is no voting. Register online on the Central Election Commission’s platform to vote from abroad in the February 2025 elections. Your vote is a democratic right and an irreplaceable service to our country,” Kurti added.
