Pristina, November 15, 2025 – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo has published the results of diaspora votes for the second round of local elections held on October 12 across 18 municipalities.
Top Diaspora Vote Winners by Municipality
- Dragash: Bexhet Xheladini (LDK) – 873 votes
- Junik: Ruzhdi Shehu (LDK) – 573 votes
- Gjilan: Alban Hyseni (VV) – 535 votes
- Gjakovë: Ardian Gjini (AAK) – 396 votes
- Prishtina: Hajrulla Çeko (VV) – 395 votes
- Suharekë: Bali Muharremaj (AAK) – 383 votes
- Prizren: Artan Abrashi (VV) – 361 votes
- Junik (AAK): Agron Kuçi – 355 votes
- Mitrovicë: Faton Peci (VV) – 305 votes
- Klinë: Zenun Elezaj (AAK) – 304 votes
- Pejë: Gazmend Muhaxheri (LDK) – 303 votes, Taulat Kelmendi (VV) – 236 votes
- Viti: Sokol Haliti (LDK) – 234 votes, Arsim Ademi (VV) – 317 votes
- Kaçanik: Jeton Raka (VV) – 276 votes
- Dragash (PDK): Shaban Shabani – 458 votes

- Vetëvendosje (VV): 3,202 votes – 1st place
- Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës (LDK): 2,740 votes – 2nd place
- Aleanca për Ardhmërinë e Kosovës (AAK): 1,618 votes – 3rd place
- Partia Demokratike e Kosovës (PDK): 1,205 votes – 4th place
Municipality Highlights
- Pristina: Hajrulla Çeko (VV) received 70.16% of diaspora votes (395 votes), while LDK candidate Përparim Rama got 29% (168 votes). Overall, Rama won the municipality with 51.42% of total votes.
- Fushë-Kosovë: Valon Prebreza (VV) received 66.67% of diaspora votes, beating LDK’s Besnik Osmani who got 33.33%. Final results: Prebreza 55.12%, Osmani 44.88%.
- Obiliq: Halil Thaçi (VV) won 77.78% of diaspora votes (70 votes), while LDK’s Xhafer Gashi received 22.22% (20 votes). Total results: Thaçi 51.28%, Gashi 48.72%.
- Suharekë: Bali Muharremaj (AAK) received 55.19% of diaspora votes (383 votes), while Ardian Shala (LDK) got 44.81% (311 votes). Total: Muharremaj 55.34%, Shala 44.66%.
- Mitrovicë: Faton Peci (VV) received 70.93% of diaspora votes (305 votes), Arian Tahiri (PDK) 29.07% (125 votes). Total: Peci 51.28%, Tahiri 48.72%.
- Gjilan: Alban Hyseni (VV) got 535 diaspora votes versus 208 for LDK’s Arbër Ismajli. Total: VV 61.25%, LDK 38.75%.
- Viti: Despite diaspora favoring Arsim Ademi (VV), Sokol Haliti (LDK) maintained a slim lead in total votes: 50.40% vs 49.60%.
These results provide insight into diaspora influence on Kosovo’s local elections, showing strong support for Vetëvendosje and LDK candidates in multiple municipalities.
