The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that voting by mail for the upcoming parliamentary elections on February 9, 2025, has officially begun. The voting period (January 9 – February 8) is exclusively for registered voters from Kosovo’s diaspora who opted for mail-in voting during registration.
Eligible voters can send their ballots either to designated CEC postal boxes abroad or directly to the CEC postal box in Kosovo.
How to Vote by Mail
- Complete the Ballot
- Download and print your ballot.
- Select one political party listed on the left side of the ballot.
- Optionally, vote for up to 10 candidates on the right side of the ballot.
- Fold the completed ballot, place it inside an envelope, and seal it. Avoid writing anything on the envelope.
- Send the Ballot
- Print the registration receipt received via email during registration.
- Insert the sealed ballot envelope and the registration receipt into a second envelope.
- Address the envelope to the CEC postal box and affix a postage stamp.
- Mail the envelope individually (ballots for multiple family members cannot be included) from the country where you are registered.
Voting in Diplomatic and Consular Missions
For the first time, the CEC has enabled diaspora voters to cast their ballots in person at Kosovo’s embassies and consulates in 22 countries. Voting centers will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM local time in the respective countries.

- Europe: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
- Other Regions: Albania, Croatia, Turkey, Australia, Canada, United States.
