Dragan Đilas, leader of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), delivered one of his harshest messages yet to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, accusing him of ruling through daily abuse, political intimidation, and an obsession with compensating for a life of decades-long irrelevance.
In his podcast “Dežurni krivac” (“The Usual Suspect”), in an episode titled “Vučić Has No Cure”, Đilas declared that no therapy can fix Vučić, and that Serbia cannot continue to endure his “political treatment.”
According to Đilas, for 40 years, Vučić was ignored, overlooked, and insignificant, and now uses power as a tool of domination.
“You were a mouse — and you will end as a mouse,” Đilas said bluntly.
He added:
“No one in your family, in your school, or in your neighborhood cared about your opinion. No one listened to you. No one gave any importance to your words. That is why you went into politics — to treat your complexes. And you went where the worst gathered, the radicals — people from the margins, just like you.”
Đilas argued that once Vučić seized power, he finally became “relevant,” and now forces the entire country to listen to his every word, turning Serbia into a stage for his insecurities.
“This is your therapy — trying to compensate for 40 years of insignificance. But while you try to heal yourself, you are destroying Serbia. Unfortunately, there is no cure for you. You were a mouse, and you will end as a mouse.”
