Professor and political analyst Binak Maxharraj has reacted to yesterday’s incident at Skopje Airport, which involved the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.

Maxharraj has raised suspicions that a Serbian “black hand” might be involved in this scandal, according to Bota sot.

In his reaction, the analyst outlined four steps that Kosovo’s institutions should take regarding this case, in which, according to the Kosovo presidency, the Skopje Airport security attempted to confiscate Osmani’s personal phone and physically pushed her.

Maxharraj’s full reaction on Facebook:

Diplomatic Scandal in Skopje: Could a Serbian “Black Hand” Be Involved?

In this case, I do not rule out the possibility that a Serbian “black hand” is involved in this scandal.

Yesterday, at the International Airport in Skopje, an unprecedented incident occurred when the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, was attacked by thugs from the Macedonian state security. They attempted to search her bag and even tried to seize her personal phone.

Those accompanying and protecting the President intervened. This is a barbaric act that has never occurred since Kosovo became a sovereign and independent state.

The question arises about the negligence of the North Macedonian state’s reaction, which leads to the understanding that perhaps a Serbian “black hand” is involved here for specific purposes. To keep it brief, I believe:

First, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo should strictly send a note of protest to the state of North Macedonia, demanding an explanation of how such a diplomatic scandal could occur at Skopje International Airport, and why this diplomatic scandal happened despite President Osmani’s diplomatic immunity.

Second, Kosovo’s state institutions, including the Government, Presidency, and Diplomacy, should urgently and officially notify and alarm the European Community in Brussels about the incident and the attack on Kosovo’s president.

Third, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should urgently, if not already done, withdraw its ambassador from Skopje until the case is fully clarified.

Fourth, the state and government of North Macedonia should urgently apologize for this incident, a diplomatic scandal.

Following the recent elections in North Macedonia, dark Serbian clouds are looming, such as the Serbian gendarmerie controlling Lake Ohrid. Therefore, in this case, I do not rule out the possibility that a Serbian “black hand” is involved in this scandal.
